UNDERWAY AGAIN

No changes at the break from either side as we get things back underway at the PreZero Arena.

KRAMARIC HAS TO SCORE... AGAIN!

The Croatian puts his shirt over his own head so he doesn't have to see the reaction following another chance missed. This time he's on the end of a cross into the box from the right wing, but puts his header straight into the hands of Jarstein.
87'

SCHULZ ALMOST MAKES IT THREE

The wing-back who assisted the second goal wants to score one of his own. He is found by Grillitsch and goes on a powerful run through the middle of the pitch before smashing a shot at goal. It goes straight at Jarstein, though.

NELSON SCORES... AND IT COUNTS!

The Englishman does, in fact, bag his 7th goal of the season as VAR checks the decision and overturns the offside ruling to make it 2-0 for Hoffenheim. Nelson's first goal of 2019 and his first goal for five months.

NELSON SCORES... OFFSIDE

Sadly, Reiss Nelson can't celebrate his 7th goal of the season. He heads in at the back post following Schulz's cross to the back post but was standing in an offside position when he did so.

KADERABEK HAS A GO!

The wing-back is in the perfect place as a corner is flicked on to the back post of the Hertha box, but he sees his header tipped over the Hertha goal by Jarstein.

CHANCE FALLS TO MITTELSTÄDT

Superb run from Dilrosun from the middle of the pitch up to the edge of the Hoffenheim box. He finds Leckie, who looks to lay someone off for a shot, but the ball eventually rolls to the edge of the box for Mittelstädt to control and strike, but he hits it just a whisker wide of the home side's goal.
62'

HERTHA DOING THE HARD PART

Nullifying this Hoffenheim attack is the hard thing to do against Julian Nagelsmann's side right now, and Hertha are doing it very well at the moment. However, when they have the ball, they're struggling to open up enough space for real efforts on Baumann's goal.
54'

HOFFENHEIM COUNTER!

Superb play from the home side who bring the ball out from their own box to the away side's box in just a matter of seconds. The ball eventually comes to Demirbay on the edge of the box and he shoots at goal, but he slices his strike wide of the target.

HERTHA STARTING THE SECOND HALF BETTER THAN THE FIRST

The away side are pressing higher up the pitch and forcing more mistakes from the home side at the start of this second half. Neither keeper has been tested so far in the second period, but that scoreline remains open for change and the game is still very much to be played for.

HOFFENHEIM ON TOP

A dominant first half from the home side who will be disappointed not to be further ahead, with the scoreline leaving the game open for an interesting second half. Hertha finally began to find their rhythm towards the end of the half and Baumann was tested in the Hoffenheim goal, but 1-0 it remains at the break.
35'

BEASTLY FROM BAUMANN

The Hoffenheim goalkeeper dives to his right to parry away Plattenhardt's powerful free-kick from the edge of the home side's box. The first real efforts on goal from Hertha come in the space of two minutes, and the away side could be ending this half on the stronger foot.
34'

FIRST EFFORT ON GOAL

Mittelstädt collects Plattenhardt's pass into the box and shoots at goal, but it hits the wrong side of the side-netting for Hertha. But the away side are finally putting together some attacking movement and finding openings in the home side's defence.
29'

AMIRI DOES THE BUSINESS

Finally, and deservedly, Hoffenheim are in the lead. Amiri picks up the ball from Demirbay 20 yards from goal and takes a quick shot across goal with Hertha's defence slacking. The ball bounces in front of Jarstein and beyond his reach, before hitting the post and resting in the back of the net.

DEMIRBAY VOLLEYS WIDE

A set-piece is curled into the box and towards the far post of the Hertha's goal, where Demirbay is waiting. He connects perfectly with a volley from eight yards but the ball drifts just beyond the Hertha goal.
23'

GOOO... NO!

Demirbay's long ball forward is chested down by Szalai to Belfodil, who then curls it into the bottom corner of the net. However, the whistle is blown before Belfodil's shot found the net with offside the decision given.

ALL HOFFENHEIM HERE

Struggling to remember Hertha having possession of the ball in the Hoffenheim half in these opening 20 minutes. The home side are in total control, as Belfodil shoots wide to add to the chances missed by Nagelsmann's team so far. He isn't happy with his side's execution, but must be pleased with ther dominance.
13'

KRAMARIC GOES SO CLOSE!

You wouldn't want any other player in this position. The ball is headed to the back post by Kaderabek following a corner which wasn't cleared by the away side, and Kramaric is alone and waiting for it. He crouches down to head it at goal, but puts the ball inches wide of goal despite being only two yards out.
7'

HOFFENHEIM PILING ON THE PRESSURE!

A huge save from Jarstein to deny Demirbay, as he was on the end of Kaderabek's cut-back from the byline in the Hertha box. Moments later, the post is struck at the back post by Kramaric again after another fantastic cross into the box from Kaderabek.
6'

SZALAI CLIPS THE BAR

The home side have certainly started the better here and their first chance falls to Szalai. A low cross comes into the box from the right wing, which he curls towards goal with a first-time effort, but it clips off the crossbar and over the top.

UNDERWAY IN SINSHEIM!

What does the first of our Bundesliga triple-header have in store for us...
Kick-off!

SAME HOFFENHEIM FOR THE FIRST TIME

Incredibly, this is the first time this season that Julian Nagelsmann has named an unchanged line-up in successive weeks. A totally unchanged line-up, with hope resting on in-form strikers Ishak Belfodil and Andrej Kramaric to continue scoring the goals.

HERTHAS BIG LIST OF ABSENTEES

With a host of key players missing for the capital club, Pal Dardai has had to pull together an unorthodox-looking starting XI today. Darida (thigh), Duda (suspended), Grujic (ankle), Ibisevic (suspended), Luckassen (ankle), Lustenberger (thigh), Maier (knee), Torunarigha (ankle) are all out, while Niklas Stark can only start from the bench due to a light infection.

HOFFENHEIM LINE-UP!

Baumann – Kaderabek, Vogt (c), Hübner, Schulz – Amiri, Grillitsch, Demirbay – Kramaric – Szalai, Belfodil SUBS:  Stolz, Brenet, Bicakcic, Nelson, Bittencourt, Posch, Baumgartner

HERTHA LINE-UP!

Jarstein – Klünter, Pekarik, Rekik, Plattenhardt – Skjelbred, Mittelstädt – Lazaro, Kalou (c), Leckie – Selke SUBS: Kraft, Stark, Köpke, Dilrosun, Dardai, Baak, Jastrzembski
