Miron Muslić (Schalke)

Miron Muslić has the sizeable task of rebuilding Schalke and turning the club into credible promotion contenders once again. Alongside Muslić are assistant coaches Eddie Lattimore and Adin Osmanbašić, as well as goalkeeping coach Volkan Ünlü. The Austrian-Bosnian comes to the Ruhr giants comes from English club Plymouth Argyle, where he famously oversaw a victory against Liverpool in last season's FA Cup.

Christian Titz (Hannover)

Moving on to another of Germany's traditional footballing institutions, Lower Saxony's Hannover are ready to go all-in towards a promotion push and, in Christian Titz, they have appointed a head coach with experience and know-how at this level. After steering Magdeburg to the 3. Liga title at the end of the 2021/22 campaign, he managed to keep them in the Bundesliga 2 for the next three seasons.

Markus Fiedler (Magdeburg)

Following Titz's departure from Magdeburg, the club acted swiftly in appointing his replacement Markus Fiedler, from VfB Stuttgart II. The 39-year-old, who is taking up his first senior head coaching role, guided the Swabians' second team to promotion from the fourth division and kept them in 3. Liga last term.

Vincent Wagner (Elversberg)

Following a dramatic promotion play-off defeat against Heidenheim and the exit of coach Horst Steffen, Elversberg have turned to 39-year-old Vincent Wagner to lead a new chapter. His last job was head coach of Hoffenheim's U23 side, with whom he celebrated winning the fourth division title and promotion to the third tier.

Ralf Kettermann (Paderborn)

Led by Lukas Kwasniok, Paderborn finished fourth in the 2024/25 Bundesliga 2 season, missing out on the play-off spot by just three points. Kwasniok's impressive work was enough to convince Cologne to give him the top job following their promotion to the top flight. Paderborn have now turned to Ralf Kettermann, who most recenly coached the Karlsruhe U19s. The 38-year-old is currently completing his DFB Pro License course.

Alexander Ende (Preußen Münster)

A relegation battle during the 2024/25 season has trigged a fresh start for Preußen Münster. Alexander Ende - a former Münster player with coaching experince in Germany's fourth and third divisions - has been appointed as head coach, with Zlatko Muhović his assistant. The duo will be supported by goalkeeping coach André Poggenborg, as well as athletics coach Tim Geidies.

Thomas Kleine and Milorad Peković (Greuther Fürth)

Thomas Kleine and Milorad Peković will continue into the new season in their respective roles as head and co-coach of Greuther Fürth after overseeing the final two games of the 2024/25 Bundesliga 2 campaign, successfully securing the Franconian club's second-tier status for another year.

Heiner Backhaus (Eintracht Braunschweig)

Eintracht Braunschweig's Bundesliga 2 fate was determined in the play-off, where they saw off 3. Liga outfit Saarbrücken. Now, Heiner Backhaus, who was most recently head coach at Aachen, has been entrusted to the steer the Lions to calmer waters.
