The fastest goals in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2: Richmond Tachie narrowly misses out on the record
Eintracht Braunschweig got off to a flying start in their Macthday 27 fixture against Preußen Münster as Richmond Tachie opened the scoring for them after just 8.3 seconds, going agonisingly close to a new record for in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2.
Braunschweig needed just four (!) touches of the ball to break the deadlock away at Preußen Münster. The goalscorer, Tachie, started the move at kick-off, passing to Jannis Nikolaou, and he to Sebastian Polter, whose long pass found Tachie in behind the Münster backline to slot home for an incredibly early lead.
The goal is, unsurprisingly, the quickest in either the Bundesliga or Bundesliga 2 this season.

Despite Tachie’s lightning-quick contribution, it still wasn’t enough to claim top spot in the record books. That crown still lies with former Wehen Wiesbaden man Benjamin Siegert, who scored after just eight seconds against SpVgg Fürth (now Greuther Fürth) in 2007 - Tachie now sits in second place.
The remaining of the top five includes former Bayer Leverkusen man Karim Bellarabi and current Union Berlin striker Kevin Volland, whose historic effort came while at Hoffenheim, as well as former Paderborn man Babacar Gueye in Bundesliga 2. All three players scored their goals in an impressive nine seconds.
