Bittencourt unbeaten against the Lilies

Cottbus' Leonardo Bittencourt has faced Darmstadt four times in the Bundesliga, remaining unbeaten in all of them (two wins, two draws). His biggest margin of victory against the Lilies came back in January 2017, when he was part of a Cologne team which thrashed them in a 6-1 away from home, with Bittencourt himself contributing two assists that day.

Managers' records

Like his Darmstadt side, Florian Kohfeldt has never faced Energie before either. Claus-Dieter Wollitz (pictured), on the other hand, faced the Lilies in the 3. Liga whilst head coach of Osnabrück in the 2012/13 campaign, losing 1-0 at the Böllenfalltor before winning 1-0 in the reverse fixture at the Bremer Brücke.

First ever encounter

This meeting between Darmstadt and Energie Cottbus at the Böllenfalltor marks the first time ever these historic sides have faced off against one another in a competitive fixture.
