Elversberg achieve a record! The 6-0 is their record highest victory in Germany's second-highest division! From the start, the Saarlanders were superior to the bottom-of-the-table side from Regensburg in all aspects and win, on balance, deservedly by 6-0!

The half dozen!

Asllani has his brace! Elversberg take a free-kick from the edge of the penalty area extremely quickly. Feil plays the ball to Asllani in the box, who converts from close range into the top right corner!

Side netting!

That would have almost made it a half dozen. Feil has a shooting opportunity on the right side of the penalty area, but only puts the ball into the side netting.

It's all decided here

The outcome of the match has long been settled. At the moment, Elversberg don't seem to be pushing energetically for a sixth goal. Regensburg are holding their ground as best they can and are longing for the final whistle.
77'

That was close!

Handwerker wins the ball and then tries to cheekily beat Kristof from the halfway line. His attempt sails narrowly wide to the left.

Efficient Saarlanders

In terms of shots, it's 10-8. The small but significant difference is: Elversberg have managed to score five goals, Regensburg not a single one.

They don't stop!

And it's far too easy! The substitute Feil quickly drives the ball forward and spots the huge gap into which Fellhauer bursts. He serves the captain, who casually rounds Pollersbeck and converts to make it 5-0!

Double substitution for Elversberg

With the comfortable scoreline, Steffen can now rest his key players Sickinger and Petkov, bringing on Feil and Schmahl.
57'

Now he has his goal!

A few minutes ago he narrowly missed, but now Şahin hammers the ball unstoppably from a tight angle into the underside of the crossbar! Petkov shows great awareness in the penalty area and lays it off to the better-positioned Şahin on the left. The playmaker has a clear path and makes it 4-0!

Almost the fourth!

Sickinger serves Asllani at the front, who shields the ball well and then slips it through to Şahin, who can shoot freely from 18 yards. He pulls it slightly wide, so the ball goes wide of the left post!
51'

Another yellow card

Handwerker catches Baum on the ankle and concedes a dangerous free kick from the right side.
50'

Can Regensburg still turn this around?

The half-time team talk from manager Patz and the two substitutions are having an effect: Jahn are playing actively forward in these first minutes after the restart.
48'

Ziegele has a go

The visitors come out of the dressing room with momentum and Ziegele immediately tries a shot from distance, but can't really trouble Kristof.

Galjen and Hein are now on the pitch and are expected to bring fresh impetus.

According to the data, the home side have been clearly more dangerous in front of goal after 40 minutes and therefore deservedly lead 2-0.

Fellhauer receives a through ball and can drive into the penalty area down the right. He then has a clear shooting lane, but decides to play a square pass, but no one had made the run with him!

Slightly less pace

After an attractive opening phase, both teams are now holding back a bit and managing possession rather than increasing the tempo.

Long Balls

The visitors are trying to set up their strikers Huth and Adamyan with long balls in behind the defence. So far this tactic has not been crowned with success.
16'

No taker in place

Sickinger goes in too hard on the left side of midfield and receives the second yellow card of the match. The resulting free kick is then lofted long and high into the Elversberg penalty area, but the hosts manage to clear it.

The early lead for Elversberg is deserved at this point. From the beginning, the Saarlanders have exuded dominance and appear very confident.

Pröger enjoys playing against Elversberg

Kai Pröger has won all three of his Bundesliga 2 matches against Elversberg and scored once (for Hansa Rostock).

Worlds apart

When Regensburg's last won in Elversberg in February 2008 (2-0 in the Regionalliga South), only 700 spectators were scattered around the Stadion an der Kaiserlinde.

Regensburg should have confidence

Elversberg have won only one of their last six competitive matches against Regensburg. In their last home game in November 2013, they achieved a 3-1 victory in the 3. Liga, with Angelo Vaccaro scoring all three Elversberg goals.

Goal-getter Ganaus

Elversberg and Regensburg are playing in the same Bundesliga 2 season for the first time. In the reverse fixture earlier this term, a goal from Noah Ganaus was enough for Jahn to secure a 1-0 victory.
