HAMBURG GO TOP!
Jatta orchestrates a deserved Hamburg win. They're now two points clear of Paderborn, who are away to Fürth on Sunday.
GOAL!2 : 0
JATTA GETS HIS GOAL!
That's it for Fortuna! Moments after Hennings tests Heuer Fernandes from close range, HSV double their lead. Glatzel slides in Kittel, who dinks out a cross that Jatta meets with a towering header. A goal and assist for the Gambian - he's been Hamburg's best player by a mile.
WHAT A SAVE!
Kittel collects the ball in a central area, scuttles forward and shoots low. Kastenmeier is at full stretch and gets fingertips to the ball to push it onto his right-hand post.
Sonny Kittel catches out the Düsseldorf defence with a low ball into the six-yard box. Vuskovic gets a touch at the near post, Glatzel slides in at the back stick - but no! He can't reach it!
Glatzel brushes off his marker on the edge of the area. Königsdörffer is all alone if the goalscorer looks up - he doesn't, and blazes over. Strikers can be selflish beasts...
Reis lifts a ball into the box for Königsdörffer. He has to generate all the power himself, though, and his looping header is easy for Kastenmeier.
WAYWARD FROM JATTA!
Königsdörffer combines with Benes to carve open the visiting defence. A ball is pulled back to Jatta on the right-hand side of the box, but he sends his first-time strike over. The HSV man had time to take a touch - he'll be disappointed with himself.
OBERDORF TO THE RESCUE!
Robert Glatzel collects from Dompe in the box. He beats one man, but not Oberdorf. Crucial piece of defending.
Fortuna have the ball in the net, but it won't count. Iyoha slips in Hendrix, who finds Kownacki. He finishes well, albeit from an offside position.
Vuskovic makes his presence felt in the opposition box once more. He's first to a free-kick from the left, but his attempted flick is caught with ease by Kastenmeier.
Appelkamp's on for the ineffectual Peterson. Iyoha, who scored last week, replaces Klaus.
HSV HEADING TOP...
Hamburg are good value for their half-time lead, though they will be a touch disappointed not to have scored one or two more. Work to be done for the visitors...
More routine from Kastenmeier this time, as he bats away Vuskovic's near-post header from a corner. Fortuna riding their luck...
Dompe blows past two defenders, going on the outside before hooking over a back-post cross. Jatta meets it with a towering header, but Kastenmeier gets across his line and pushes the ball over. Superb save!
HSV nearly unlock the Fortuna defence from a corner. Dompe's cross finds Schonlau, whose header lacks the power to seriously trouble Kastenmeier.
HSV knocking at the door agains as Jatta gets to the byline and shapes to shoot, but a defender makes the block. The ensuing corner is cleared.
Fortuna's best chance, but Kownacki can't apply the finishing touch to Gavory's come-and-get me cross. HSV can breathe again!
Speed check: The fastest player in the game after 30 minutes
Bakery Jatta 34.37km/h
Michal Karbownik 33.45km/h
Kristoffer Paul Peterson 32.41km/h
That's now six goals this season for Glatzel, putting him level with Paderborn forward Platte at the top of the Bundesliga 2 scorers' chart. Today's strike is only his second on home turf this term.
WHO ELSE BUT GLATZEL?
HSV's pressure just had to take its toll and Fortuna could resist no longer. Jatta collects a long ball down the right wing and cuts a low pass back into the middle. Glatzel anticipated it and tucks it home from six yards out!
GOAL!1 : 0
The home side should arguably be in front by now given the chances they've had...
Hamburg are caught in possession as they try to play it out from the back and they're almost made to pay. The ball comes to Tanaka in the right-hand side of the box but he lashes his shot into the side netting.
FIRST GLIMPSE FOR DÜSSELDORF
Peterson charges forward into the HSV half and spies Kownacki in space to his left. If he plays it into his run the forward will have a clear sight of goal, but the ball is behind him, forcing the striker to check his run. His soon surrounded by defenders and the opportunity goes begging.
The away side are forced into their first substitution as Zimmermann has a deep cut on his head and can't continue.
That's twice in the opening eight minutes that HSV have hit the frame of the goal. Dombe scurries to the byline on the left and pulls the ball back for Glatzel, who's first-time shot hits the bar!
HAMBURG ON TOP
That early chance for Benes has whipped the home crowd into a frenzy and they're cheering their side forward now. The players are responding as they seek the opening goal - Fortuna can't get out of their own half at the moment.
Benes charges forward from the halfway line with the visiting defence backing off him. He smashes a shot at goal that beats Kastenmeier but crashes off the crossbar! So close!
HERE WE GO!
HSV get the ball rolling at the Volksparkstadion!
