Münster make one change

Münster make just one alteration to the side that started the cup defeat against Hertha Berlin, replacing Etienne Amenyido with Lars Lokotsch.

Four changes for Nuremberg

Miroslav Klose makes three changes to the Nuremberg side that started the DFB Cup first-round tie against Illertissen. Christian Mathenia, Robin Knoche, Tim Janisch and Mickaël Biron drop to the bench as Jan Reichert, Ondřej Karafiát, Caspar Jander and Julian Justvan come in.

Münster coach Ende on Nuremberg

"I'm expecting to face an opponent in a similar situation to ourselves. They've also had a lot of bad luck recently. They will do all they can to turn things around."

Nuremberg boss Klose on Münster

"We're facing a team with a new manager [Alexander Ende]. Münster like to have a lot of possession and dominate their opponents. It's going to be a tough challenge and a yardstick for us."

Schenk faces his old club

The Schweinfurt-born Johannes Schenk spent time the Club's youth academy, before departing for Bayern Munich's academy in 2017.

The wait continues

Münster last took points off Nuremberg in the inaugural Bundesliga season in 1963, when they drew 2-2 away from home. Their last win was even further back, however. It came 74 years ago on 3 June 1951, when they edged a 6-4 goal spectacle in the Preußenstadion.

Nuremberg have history on their side

Their good record against Münster extends back to the 1960s, too, when they got the better of them in the 1964 Bundesliga season, winning 1-0 in Münster, as well as in the 1968 DFB Cup where they won 4-0 at home.

Advantage Nuremberg?

The visitors won both of their Bundesliga 2 encounters against Münster last season, each time through late goals (3-2 at home, 1-0 in Münster).

Last time out

The Club secured all three points last time they met thanks to Lukas Schmelzer's goal.
