Full-time: Jahn Regensburg 0-0 Paderborn
Paderborn fais to secure three important points in the promotion race. The visitors started as clear favourites against bottom club Regensburg but couldn't live up to this role. Although SCP had more chances and overall possession, they lacked the cutting edge. For Regensburg, it's a well-earned, and hard-fought, point.

Last few minutes
Time is slowly but surely running out for the visitors to secure the crucial three points in the promotion race. Regensburg continue to fight hard for the point as we head into the final few minutes.
83'
Off the bar!
Götze miscontrolls the ball, allowing Kühlwetter to gain possession and have a go from way out. His swerving effort is a beauty and rattles the crossbar! That would have been some goal.
79'
Zehnter!
That was close! Zehnter takes a free kick from the right edge of the box, aiming towards the far left corner, but Pollersbeck leaps to his right and parries the shot to safety.
75'
Will the decisive goal come?
With three points, Paderborn could move up to second place in the table. Their efforts are valiant, but they lack the final quality in front of goal.
71'
Double substitution for Jahn
Relentless defending has finally taken its toll. Ganaus and Suhonen are brought on to provide fresh legs for the final stretch.
69'
Castaneda appeals
The 20-year-old goes down in the Regensburg penalty area and is looking for a spot-kick. However, the referee immediately waves it away and awards a goal kick.
68'
Much better
Michel plays a brilliant through ball with the outside of his foot to Mehlem on the right side of the penalty area but his cross is then blocked for a corner.
64'
Can Michel turn the tide?
Kwasniok brings on a new striker, aiming to give Paderborn's attacking play a fresh impetus. In the last few minutes, the goal threat has been completely absent.

The substituted Grimaldi is being sought out with long balls a lot. This time, though, he leans on his opponent from a corner and gives away a foul.

Hottmann!
The striker gets a completely free header from five metres out, but puts the ball just over the crossbar!

Into the wall!
Obermair hits a free-kick into the Regensburg wall. It was from a good position and there was more potential in that.

Pressure eases off
In the last few minutes, it's been easier for Regensburg to defend. The match is now taking place mostly in midfield.

Side netting!
Riemann can't get a grip on a corner, allowing Ernst to try to head home at the back post but he can only find the side-netting.
39'
Spell of pressure
The visitors are now pushing Jahn deep into their own half and are applying real pressure. No breakthrough yet, though.
37'
Brilliant cross
Zehnter curls a corner from the right towards the near post, where the ball is flicked on but no Paderborn player can then make the most of the chance.
34'
Early substitution
Kwasniok takes off Scheller and brings on Curda. The former was booked earlier.
33'
Götze misses chance to take the lead!
Following a corner from the right, the centre-back attempts to head the ball in at the far post but fails to make clean contact with his forehead and can't find the target. He then falls awkwardly and might be struggling.

Three changes for Jahn
Andreas Patz has to do without Pröger, while Hein and Ziegele move to the bench. Handwerker, Viet and Wurm come into the side. For 18-year-old centre-back Wurm, it's already his 11th start of the season.
Castaneda for Brackelnmann
After their excellent win over HSV last time out, Paderborn make one forced change. Brackelmann is missing so Castaneda takes his place in the team, which means Scheller is likely to move into the back three and Castaneda sits in defensive midfield.
Regensburg starting XI
Pollersbeck - Ananou, Wurm, Breunig, Handwerker - Geipl - Kühlwetter, Ernst, Viet - Hottmann, Adamyan
Paderborn starting XI
Riemann - Hoffmeier, Götze, Scheller - Obermair, Mehlem, Castaneda, Zehnter - Bilbija - Terho, Ansah

What Andreas Patz has said
"Paderborn are the team of the moment, one of the most in-form sides. We have our plan, which we will give to the team, and it's important to execute it for the full 90 minutes."
What Lukas Kwasniok has said
"We need a portion of humility, but also a good dose of self-confidence and conviction. A challenging task awaits us."
Helping out
In 2016/17, Regensburg were promoted to Bundesliga 2, prevailing in the relegation play-off against 1860 Munich. However, the Lions failed to obtain a licence for the 3. Liga, and thus Paderborn, who had been relegated on sporting merit, were spared demotion to the Regionalliga. Jahn thus made the subsequent rise of Paderborn (ultimately to the Bundesliga) possible; without Regensburg's help, Paderborn would have disappeared into the fourth tier.
Not a good omen
Kai Pröger was promoted to the Bundesliga with Paderborn in 2019, making 31 top-flight and 70 second-tier appearances for the East Westphalian side (13 goals in total). Since then, he has faced his former club four times in Bundesliga 2 and lost 3-0 on each occasion (three times with Rostock, once with Regensburg).
Regensburg's fortress
Jahn Regensburg have won their last five home matches against Paderborn (four times in Bundesliga 2, once in the 3. Liga) - all with clean sheets! The last Paderborn goal in Regensburg was scored by Manuel Zeitz in November 2012 during a 2-0 away victory in Bundesliga 2.
Against the trend
Paderborn won the reverse fixture 3-0, but recent trips to Regensburg have not been very fruitful.
