bevestor becomes the official naming right partner of the Virtual Bundesliga, the DFL's youngest competitive brand. As part of the strategic partnership with the DFL, ESL takes on the entire media production for the exclusive professional FIFA 21 competition in Germany.
bevestor becomes the new naming right partner of the eFootball competition Virtual Bundesliga (VBL) organized by the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga. The sponsorship extends over two seasons and begins with immediate effect. bevestor, a wholly owned subsidiary of DekaBank, appears as the namesake with a partner logo on all jerseys and on all digital communication platforms and channels of the “bevestor Virtual Bundesliga”.
In addition, the company is acquiring a comprehensive package of rights for integration into exclusive broadcast segments and will, among other things, present the weekly highlights of the games of the VBL Club Championship by bevestor.

The new partnership came about as part of the strategic cooperation between DFL and ESL, under which ESL, the world's largest eSports company, has a production and marketing contract for VBL. With this recently announced cooperation, the DFL combines the goal of further expanding and professionalising the VBL.
As early as 2012, the DFL, in cooperation with EA SPORTS and the VBL, was the first professional football league to launch an eSport competition. To date, the VBL is the only eSports competition of a professional football league that is directly integrated into the EA SPORTS FIFA game. Since its inception, the VBL has grown in popularity with around 130,000 participants. The increasing popularity of the VBL as well as the generally growing relevance of eSports and the focus of the DFL on soccer simulations led to the decision in 2018
In addition to the VBL Open single player competition, also to bring the VBL Club Championship to life, in which Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 clubs compete against each other with their eSport teams. Both competitions will initially be brought together at the VBL Playoffs by bevestor and finally at the VBL Grand Final by bevestor.
The VBL Club Championship by bevestor starts tomorrow, Tuesday (November 10th), the new season, the VBL Open by bevestor already started on November 1st.
