Borussia Dortmund have continued their summer spending with the signing of Portugal international Raphael Guerreiro from French side FC Lorient.
The versatile defender, who started his nation’s 1-1 UEFA EURO 2016 draw with Iceland, has signed a four-year deal with BVB after undergoing a medical while with the Portugal squad in Paris.
"Raphael Guerreiro is an accomplished, technical player, who feels at home in several positions,“ said Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc. "We are very happy that he has decided to join Borussia Dortmund."
Guerreiro, 22, scored three goals and provided three assists in 34 Ligue 1 outings for Lorient in Ligue 1 last season.
A left-back at the start of his career, Guerreiro was increasingly used as a left-midfielder in recent months in Brittany.
