Munich - FC Bayern München received a further boost the day after notching up their 1,000th Bundesliga victory with Medhi Benatia returning to full training.
The Moroccan defender has been out of action since the end of August, when he suffered a thigh injury during Bayern's 2-1 win over TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. He left the field after only 36 minutes and has not featured competitively since.
As the players who registered yesterday's landmark win over 1. FC Köln were back given light exercises, Benatia was part of the remaining group, which included Thiago Alcantara, taking part in passing and running drills. He then proceeded to train individually on more specific routines to help get him back to full fitness as soon as possible.
Bayern travel to VfL Wolfsburg in the DFB Cup second round on Tuesday night.
