A delegation of Dortmund officials have been Stateside this week to lay the groundwork for their participation in the International Champions Cup in July. Pulisic & Co. will play two games in that competition, while there are also plans for a friendly with newly founded MLS franchise Los Angeles FC as part of BVB's pre-season preparations.

The delegation, led by Dortmund's Director for Sales & Marketing Carsten Cramer, were impressed by the facilities at the Banc of California stadium where the game is likely to take place, though the staging of the fixture could depend on whether Peter Stöger's men reach the UEFA Europa League final this season.
"Following an intense working week in the USA, we feel a bit better prepared for the challenge of getting to know another new region, the USA, and winning over the people there by making a favourable impression of the entire club of Borussia Dortmund," said Cramer.
"But we hope, and also believe there are positive indications, that the people in the USA are also excited at the prospect of receiving their first visit from BVB, including the entire first team and Christian Pulisic, the US Footballer of the Year."

"Our increasing presence in this tournament series, which involves the most famous and successful football clubs in the world, underlines how important Borussia Dortmund has become on a sporting level," said Cramer.
