Incredible as it seems, the 2016/17 Bundesliga season is already drawing to a close, and as usual at the business end of a campaign, it is time to hand out the prizes. We want you to decide who is honoured by voting for the bundesliga.com Team of the Season.

Anthony Modeste(Cologne)

While Robert Lewandowski and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have made most of the running in the race for this season’s Torjägerkanone award, Modeste’s sterling campaign should not be overlooked. Playing in a Cologne side that create far fewer chances than Bayern or Dortmund, the Frenchman has hit 20 goals in a top-flight season for the first time in his career, and he has just turned 29. There is arguably no player in the division as important to his side as Modeste to Cologne.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund)

Perhaps the best indication of how devastating a striker Aubameyang has become is his improvement since joining Dortmund in 2013. From 13 goals in his debut season, he has since registered 16 and 25, and he has already achieved a personal best this term. He plundered four against Hamburg and struck in six matches in a row between Matchdays 22 and 27, contributions that could prove vital in him winning the league’s top scorer award for the first time.

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez (Bayer Leverkusen)

He was a revelation in the Bundesliga in 2015/16, and while injuries have restricted him to just 18 starts this season, Chicharito has still scored an impressive ten goals. He notched in important wins against Dortmund, Frankfurt and Augsburg and his hat-trick to sink Mainz 3-2 in September will live long in the Leverkusen fans’ memories.
