Hamburg look set to be without midfielder Aaron Hunt, who hurt his shinbone in the 0-0 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt on Matchday 25. Nicolai Müller should return to the starting eleven in his place, while fit-again Mergim Mavraj could slot in at centre back. If that change is made, it would likely result in recently-capped Germany under-21 international Gideon Jung moving back into midfield and Gotuku Sakai dropping back to right back.
Watch: Highlights of Hamburg's goalless draw with Frankfurt on MD25:
Cologne have centre back Dominique Heintz back from suspension and full backs Frederik Sörensen and Konstantin Rausch have recovered from a thigh injury and a cold respectively. So the Billy Goats’ back four could show three changes to the line-up that started the 4-2 win over Hertha Berlin. There will be changes in midfield too, since Jonas Hector should move up from left back and Marco Höger could replace the suspended Matthias Lehmann.
