It was a moment fans of SV Darmstadt 98 had waited over 33 years for - the chance to cut their local rivals Eintracht Frankfurt down to size.

That moment came in the first Hesse derby between Darmstadt and Frankfurt since 1982, and it was to have a happy ending for the away team at the Commerzbank Arena, thanks to Aytac Sulu. The Lilies' captain, and the most prolific defender in the Bundesliga, headed in one of the most significant goals since Darmstadt's return to the top table of German football. "More important than the goal is that it's our first derby win in 33 years!" said the 29-year-old ecstatically.
