Munich - FC Bayern München defender faces up to four weeks on the sidelines after picking up a groin injury in Wednesday's DFB Cup over Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

Growing injury list

The Moroccan international, who had to leave the field of play in the 34th minute at the BayArena, will consequently miss upcoming Bundesliga games against Eintracht Frankfurt and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, the UEFA Champions League quarter-final double header with FC Porto and perhaps even a handful of other fixtures along the way.

The news comes as another blow to Bayern head coach Pep Guardiola, who is already without the services of first-team regulars David Alaba, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and Javi Martinez through injury.
