Melbourne/Cologne - Australia head coach Ange Postecoglou has named Bundesliga stars Robbie Kruse, Mitchell Langerak and Mathew Leckie in his 23-man squad for the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.

Tournament experience

Bayer 04 Leverkusen's Kruse, Borussia Dortmund's Langerak and FC Ingolstadt 04's Leckie will feature in the tournament, which begins on 9 January when the Australian hosts face Kuwait in Melbourne.

Both Langerak and Leckie travelled with the Australia squad to the FIFA World Cup 2014, a tournament which the 26-year-old Kruse missed through injury. However, the Leverkusen winger was the only of the trio to represent the Socceroos at the Asian Cup Qatar 2011, as the side finished runners-up.

Kruse is yet to score in 46 minutes of action for die Werkself this season, while Langerak has established himself as Dortmund's number one goalkeeper. Versatile forward Leckie, meanwhile, has registered four goals and four assists in helping Ingolstadt to top the Bundesliga 2 over the winter break. As well as Kuwait, Australia also have games against South Korea and Oman.
