Dortmund - A stirring pre-match pep talk from Sebastian Kehl was one of the secrets behind Borussia Dortmund's return to winning ways against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on Friday night, although nobody wanted to get carried away with just one win which, like any other, was worth only three points.

bundesliga.com has all the post-match reaction from the Signal Iduna Park...

Mats Hummels: We can't really talk of relief yet - we have a few more steps to go still. We did the same against Gladbach at home, but then didn't build on it away - we have to do that this time. But it was a great game and we had great support. [Sebastian] Kehl gave us a great pep talk before the game. He's got a great talent for it and we needed something like that today. I think we saw on field that we all wanted to fight our way out of danger. Kehl told me it [Sebastian Rudy's free-kick] was going in, but maybe it wasn't. I know how Rudy hits his free-kicks so I just had a feeling and that's why I went back.

Sebastian Kehl: We won and we had to fight for it, but in our situation that’s the only way. We've tried everything in recent weeks and we were only focused on winning. It didn't have to be pretty; it just had to be effective. Things went wrong in Frankfurt last week, but thankfully we got it right this time.

Ilkay Gündogan: It wasn't easy to cope with situation, particularly after losing to Frankfurt. So that makes us even happier that we've shown our true colours tonight. I think we fully deserved the win. The fans were amazing tonight.

Kevin Großkreutz: I'm delighted - the team and the whole city of Dortmund deserved this. The way we were so united with the fans was amazing. It was fight, passion and heart and that was all that mattered today. Thanks to the fans for their support - you only get that in Dortmund. We're all a team, even in bad times, and we've proven that today. It's been a hard time for all of us and it's a new situation for us. I think we had a game before against Gladbach and people were saying we'd turned the corner then, so we've got to keep things in perspective.

Mitchell Langerak: I'm delighted we won today and of course because we kept a clean sheet. I was a bit surprised to play tonight - I only found out today I'd and I'm very pleased with how it went.

Kevin Volland: In the first half, Dortmund didn't have all that many chances, but we were too open at the back and they had plenty after the break. We've got to put this behind us and show a reaction against Frankfurt.

Andreas Beck: There are many, many things that we've got to improve. We created too few chances and that's not good enough against a side like BVB. Now we have two difficult home games coming up and we have got to get some points.
