Changchun - SV Werder Bremen got their hands on their first piece of silverware of the season by beating Changchun Yatai 1-0 on Wednesday.
As part of a summer tour of China, Robin Dutt's men met the Chinese first-division side in a friendly in front of 10,000 spectators. Santiago Garcia scored the only goal of the game in the 66th minute.
It was Bremen's first run-out of two scheduled games in China, six weeks ahead of their first competitive fixture against FV Illertissen in the DFB Cup. Dutt picked a strong side for the game inside the Changchun Jingkai Stadium with new arrival Fin Bartels making his second appearance, being replaced after 75 minutes by Mehmet Ekici. Garcia, who played the full 90 minutes, met a perfectly-timed cross from Clemens Fritz with a powerful header into the corner, leaving Tianhe Mi no chance. Bremen are in action again on Saturday against Tianjin TEDA with a kick-off of 20:00 local time (14:00 CEST). "There's the trophy
