Gelsenkirchen - There was good news for FC Schalke 04 on Tuesday with returning to first-team training.
The Peruvian winger had missed the previous three weeks of Bundesliga action due to an allergic reaction.
As a result, the 29-year-old could feature in the Royal Blues' squad for Saturday's encounter with 1. FC Nürnberg, but lacking match fitness, it is most likely that Farfan will have to make do with a place on the bench. The Gelsenkirchen-based club will, however, be unable to call upon the services of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Felipe Santana (both suspended) and potentially Leon Goretzka, who limped off the pitch during training on Wednesday. Schalke need just one point on Matchday 34 in order to secure automatic qualification for next season's UEFA Champions League.
