Munich - Outstanding individual performances were once again in plentiful supply on Matchday 4 of the Bundesliga, but, as ever, only one player can win bundesliga.com's weekly vote.

Hat-trick hero

Vedad Ibisevic's memorable hat-trick for VfB Stuttgart had our readers in raptures, with 45 per cent choosing the Bosnian as the exceptional player of the round.

Ibisevic's goals propelled the Swabian side to their first win of the season, a 6-2 romp over 1899 Hoffenheim, and the triple-salvo also took the forward joint top of the scorers' charts on five.

Goals were the order of the day on Sunday, and another player who fired his side to three points was Borussia Dortmund's Henrikh Mkhitaryan, whose pair of strikes meant he polled in second place. His brace was enough to see of Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 and take the silver medal, with 33 per cent of the ballots cast.

Farfan the man

Jefferson Farfan's goal and assist in FC Schalke 04's 2-0 win against Bayer 04 Leverkusen take mean he shares third place on the podium with SC Freiburg goalkeeper Oliver Baumann (six per cent), whose heroics ensured his side drew 1-1 with reigning champions FC Bayern München.

Last, but by no means least, are Borussia Mönchengladbach's Max Kruse and VfB Stuttgart's Alexandru Maxim (five per cent), both of whom scored in their side's victories. Maxim laid on two assists as well as scoring twice to complement Ibisevic's hat-trick, while Kruse's early-season form was rewarded with a place in the latest Germany squad.
