DFL to decide fixture dates in September

Frankfurt – The Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH (DFL) will decide the dates for Bundesliga fixtures from Matchday 6 and Bundesliga 2 fixtures from Matchday 8 in the first week of September, once the draws for the group stages of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League have been made.

The draws for each competition will take place in Monaco, with the Champions League groups being drawn on Thursday 29 August and the Europa League groups the following day.

Clubs competing in the Champions League on a Tuesday will not play a Bundesliga match on the preceding Sunday, while clubs participating in the Europa League on Thursdays will play their next league match on the following Sunday.
