Berlin - A late equaliser from John Anthony Brooks ensured Hertha BSC Berlin's title party remained unspoiled after a 1-1 final-day draw with FC Energie Cottbus.

Nicolas Farina's 28th-minute opener for the visitors was compounded when Hertha defender Maik Franz was shown a straight red card in the first-half stoppage time, but the ten-man hosts battled well and eventually drew level through Brooks' late header, which warmed up the crowd suitably for the championship festivities that followed.
