Cup debut

St. Tönis play in the Oberliga Niederrhein - in the fifth tier of the German football pyramid. They finished fifth last season and made a winning start to the 2026/27 campaign, beating Solingen 3-2. The club are competing in the DFB Cup for the first time in their history after reaching the final of the regional Niederrheinpokal last term.

Impressive recent record

Winners under Niko Kovač in 2018, Frankfurt have reached the final three times in the last 10 seasons. They beat Bayern Munich 3-1 in the showpiece eight years ago, having lost 2-1 to Borussia Dortmund at Berlin’s Olympiastadion 12 months earlier. RB Leipzig also got the better of the Eagles in 2023, triumphing 2-0 in the capital.
