Thomas Kleine and Milorad Peković to remain in charge at Greuther Fürth
Thomas Kleine and Milorad Pekovic will continue into the new season in their respective roles as head and co-coach of Greuther Fürth, the Franconian club have confirmed.
Following the dismissal of Jan Siewert on 5 May, Kleine and Peković, both 47, oversaw Fürth's final two games of the 2024/25 Bundesliga 2 season. The Clover Leaves were winless in eight at the time, but stopped the rot by drawing at Hannover and winning at home to promoted Hamburg to finish four points clear of the bottom three and secure their second-tier status for another year.
"Together, they got the team over the line in very difficult circumstances. Despite the short window, it was clear to see what they value," explained Fürth sporting director Stephan Fürstner. "We sat down last week and spoke about what the future might hold. I'm sure we'll go on to build something together."
Fürth begin pre-season training on 25 June, before the 2025/26 Bundesliga 2 campaign gets under way on 1 August. Greuther have been in the second tier since their relegation from the Bundesliga at the end of 2021/22 - their second season of top-flight football after 2012/13, when they also finished bottom of the standings.
