RB Leipzig announce post-season South Africa tour
RB Leipzig will travel to South Africa for a post-season tour, the club have confirmed.
Leipzig, who toured the USA in 2024 and Brazil last year, will be based in Johannesburg from 26-30 May 2026.
As part of the 'RE KAOFELA' ('All Together') tour, Die Roten Bullen will also play Premier Soccer League champions Mamelodi Sundowns in Pretoria.
Activations and activities with Red Bull, Puma, Tudor and other club partners in the region will complete a colourful itinerary, alongside various fan engagements and local cultural experiences.
"South Africa is a particularly exciting football market and a culturally impressive destination for RB Leipzig and the Bundesliga. The passion with which football is lived here fits perfectly with our goal of inspiring people worldwide to support us, our intense and attacking style of play, and our football," explained Leipzig managing director Johann Plenge.
"After successful tours of the USA and Brazil, we are now very much looking forward to once again representing the league, travelling to South Africa for the first time and meeting Mamelodi Sundowns, a club that has shaped African football for years and enjoys great international recognition. We are carrying the colours of our club and our city out into the world and want to be the best possible ambassadors for Leipzig."
