Official Match Ball 2026-27: TORFABRIK returns to German professional football
1 June 2026 – adidas today unveiled the Official Match Ball for the 2026-27 season of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2. Bringing back the iconic TORFABRIK model, the global brand from Herzogenaurach returns to German professional football after eight seasons as official ball provider.
The ball’s design incorporates elements of the adidas TEAMGEIST model, which was first used in Germany in 2006. The new edition combines the distinctive panel structure with modern design elements in black, red, and gold.
The ball will be used in Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches, as well as for the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup, the relegation playoffs, and the newly created U21 competition, the “Bundesliga Talent Series.”
Only a few weeks ago, the DFL and adidas entered into a strategic partnership aimed at jointly strengthening the development of German professional football. As strategic partner of the Bundesliga, adidas is providing the DFL with a loan facility of €100 million on cooperative terms. As part of this wide-ranging agreement, the match ball partnership has also been extended until the end of the 2033-2034 season.
