Bundesliga Fantasy Manager: what's new for 2026/27?
Flexible squad building, an expanded points catalogue and much, much more besides! We reveal the key changes to Official Bundesliga Fantasy Manager for the 2026/27 season - now played exclusively in the official Bundesliga app.
Updated player value calculation
The way player value changes are calculated has been adjusted for the new season.
This term, the calculation takes into account how many points a player scores in relation to their expected or previous average performance. Playing time is also considered.
Players who do not feature on a matchday will generally retain their existing market value. A player’s full value development can be viewed in the ‘Market Value’ section of their Fantasy player profile.

Expanded points catalogue
The aim of the expanded points catalogue is to translate players’ actual Bundesliga performances into Fantasy points even more accurately. The complete scoring system can be accessed in the game.
The Fantasy player profile includes a ‘Points Last Season’ value, which has already been recalculated using the new scoring system. This allows users to see how performances from the previous campaign would have been assessed under the updated rules.
The player list in the ‘Transfers’ section can also be sorted or filtered by ‘Points Last Season’.
Predicted line-ups available from Tuesday
Users can view the predicted line-ups for every Bundesliga fixture in the Match Centre from the Tuesday before each matchday.
The predicted line-ups help users plan their starting XI and potential transfers, and provide an early indication of which players are likely to start and which players may be at risk of missing out.
New public league system
Users will no longer need to select a league from a long list of public community leagues. Instead, they simply choose the type of league they would like to play: Classic leagues, Head-to-Head leagues or Official Club leagues.
In Classic mode, the user is automatically assigned to a suitable public league with 18 participants. For Head-to-Head, the user first selects their preferred format and is then automatically assigned to a suitable public league.
The league overview and individual league pages have also been redesigned, with dedicated icons making the different league types and Head-to-Head formats easier to identify.
Fairer Head-to-Head play-off match-ups
In Head-to-Head leagues with a subsequent play-off stage, the opening knockout round will now be seeded according to the final standings from the league phase.
With eight qualified managers, for example, the match-ups are as follows: first vs. eighth, second vs. seventh, third vs. sixth and fourth vs. fifth. The same principle applies to play-offs of other sizes.
A strong finish in the league phase therefore becomes more meaningful.
Redesigned prize overview
Prizes will be presented in a more visual way, with users able to switch between different tabs - such as Bundesliga Fantasy, matchday winners and Germany League - to view the prizes available in individual leagues and competitions.
The prize overview can be accessed through the Fantasy Manager’s information menu.
Return of the FC 27 League
The FC 27 League, sponsored by EA SPORTS, is returning to Fantasy Manager for the 2026/27 season. All users will automatically take part.
