It has been a staggering Bundesliga season in so many ways, with champions Bayer Leverkusen, runners-up VfB Stuttgart and Bayern Munich's Harry Kane among the standout performers...

Leverkusen become first team to complete unbeaten Bundesliga season!

0 – Leverkusen became the first side to go through an entire Bundesliga season without loss!

0 – The champions were also the first team since 1969/70 to go through a Bundesliga without giving away a single penalty or receiving a red card. They were the only team in Europe's top five leagues not to have a penalty awarded against them in league fixtures in 2023/24.

1 – Leverkusen secured their first league title in club history on Matchday 29. Only twice in Bundesliga history have champions been crowned at an earlier stage of the season (Bayern in 2012/13 and 2013/14).

1 Jan-Niklas Beste became the first player to score a Bundesliga goal for Heidenheim on Matchday 2.

1 – Heidenheim became the first ever newly promoted Bundesliga side to come back from two goals down to beat Bayern (winning 3-2).

1.5 Gonçalo Paciência of Bochum scored the least likely goal of the season, with an xG value of 1.5% against Freiburg on Matchday 8.

2 – Josip Stanišić is only the second player in Bundesliga history to become champion with two different teams in consecutive years (Bayern and Leverkusen).

2 – Eren Dinkçi became the first Heidenheim player to score a brace in the Bundesliga on Matchday 4 in Bremen.

2 In the match between Hoffenheim and Eintracht Frankfurt, both goalkeepers assisted a goal for the first time since assist records began in 1998.

7 – Sebastian Polter made his debut in the Bundesliga for Darmstadt on Matchday 20 to play for his seventh different club in the Bundesliga - equalling the league record.

8 – Bayern's 8-0 thrashing of Darmstadt on Matchday 9 was the biggest win in the 2023/24 Bundesliga season. It was only the third time in Bundesliga history that a team scored eight goals in one half (after Dortmund in 1982 and Mönchengladbach in 1967).

9 The highest-scoring match of the season (8-1) came on Matchday 25 between Bayern Munich and Mainz.

10 Leverkusen set a club-record run of 10 successive Bundesliga wins between Matchday 20 and 29.

10  Union Berlin set club records for the most defeats in a row (nine) and most consecutive matches without a win (10) this season.

12 Stuttgart's Serhou Guirassy scored the opening goal in 12 matches this season to equal the all-time record of Stefan Kießling 2012/13, Ailton 2003/04 and Gerd Müller 1969/70.

13 A total of 13 hat-tricks were scored in 2023/24. Almost one-third of those came from Harry Kane, who became the first player in Bundesliga history to score four hat-tricks in his opening season.

13 Alejandro Grimaldo provided more assists than any other player in the 2023/24 Bundesliga season - 13.

13 - Leverkusen are the 13th team to be crowned German champions in Bundesliga history and the first club to take their maiden title since Wolfsburg in 2009.

14 – Guirassy scored 14 times in the first eight matchdays of the season - a Bundesliga record.

15 – Thomas Müller became the first player to score in 15 different Bundesliga seasons for Bayern.

15 Ermedin Demirović set a new personal record goals total of 15 goals this season. Never before has an Augsburg player scored more in a Bundesliga season.

16 Leverkusen kept 16 clean sheets, equalling a club record from 2014/15.

16 – Mats Hummels scored in each of his past 16 Bundesliga seasons - equalling a Bundesliga record with Olaf Thon, Michael Zorc, Holger Fach, Bernd Nickel and Willi Neuberger!

16 Müller has appeared in 16 different Bundesliga seasons - a record for a Bayern player. Tony Jantschke also appeared in a 16th season for Borussia Mönchengladbach to equal a club record of Uwe Kamps and Christian Hochstätter.

17 Young Norwegian Jonathan Norbye made a brief appearance for Leipzig on Matchday 34. At the age of 17 yaers and 53 days he was Leipzig's youngest player of 2023/24 and their second youngest in Bundesliga history.

18 Just as he was in 2022/23, Bayern's Mathys Tel was the youngest goalscorer of the Bundesliga season. He scored in Bremen on Matchday 1 at the age of 18 and 113 days.

21 Robin Hack scored the fastest goal of the 2023/24 Bundesliga season after 21 seconds (on Matchday 17 against VfB Stuttgart).

24 Leverkusen conceded just 24 goals - a club record and the fewest in the Bundesliga this season.

24  Kane scored 24 times in the first 20 matchdays to equal Robert Lewandowski's record start to a season.

28 – Guirassy set a Stuttgart club record for goals in a Bundesliga season with 28 - a total that would've seen him crowned top scorer in England, Spain, Italy and France.

28 – On Matchday 18, Werder Bremen beat Bayern Munich for the first time since September 2008 to end a unique run of 28 matches without a win against a set of opponents.

29 Mats Hummels played in a Bundesliga clash between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern for the 29th time on Matchday 27 (23 times with Dortmund and six with Bayern), making him the record Klassiker appearance holder.

32 – Leipzig have not lost any of their 32 meetings against a newly promoted side in the Bundesliga (29 wins and three draws). Leipzig have therefore matched Bayern's Bundesliga record, which lasted from 2010 to 2018.

34 34-year-old Tobias Kempe is the oldest Darmstadt player and goalscorer in Bundesliga history.

36 – Top scorer Kane has set a new personal high goals total with 36 goals this season, beating his previous high of 30 for Tottenham in the Premier League.

36 Kane was the top scorer in the Bundesliga and the first player to score 36 goals in his first 32 Bundesliga appearances. There has been an English top scorer in the league for the first time.

36 – Leonardo Bonucci became the oldest-ever goalscorer for Union Berlin when converting a penalty against Dortmund on Matchday 7 (at the age of 36 years and 159 days).

36.4 – Three players shared the record of the fastest speed this season. Alphonso Davies, Eren Dinkçi and Ansgar Knauff all notched a top speed of 36.4 km/h.

40 Jadon Sancho scored his 40th Bundesliga on Matchday 31 in Leipzig to become the highest-scoring Englishman ever in the Bundesliga - a record Harry Kane might just break rather soon.

40 Makoto Hasebe is the oldest Frankfurt player in Bundesliga history, after appearing at the age of 40 years and 121 days against Leipzig on Matchday 34.

42 – Matchday 9 was the highest-scoring matchday of the season with 42 goals - more than any other matchday since 1983/84, in fact.

45 - Leverkusen contested their 45th Bundesliga season. No other team has played so many seasons before winning the title - with Dortmund and Kaiserslautern previously holding this claim after both winning the title in their 29th Bundesliga season.

46 Guirassy and Deniz Undav scored 46 goals together this season to be the highest-scoring strike partnership in Stuttgart's club history.

51 – The incredible Leverkusen did not lose any of their first 51 competitive matches of the season (42 wins and nine draws). Since UEFA was founded, no team playing in a European competition has recorded such an impressive run. They ended with a record across all competitions of 43 wins, nine draws and one loss.

56 – Dortmund scored for a club record 56 consecutive home matches since June 2020 until they were beaten 0-4 against Bayern on Matchday 10.

65 Bayern scored in 65 consecutive home matches between February 2020 and Matchday 17 of last season, setting a new Bundesliga record.

69 On Matchday 15, Bayern took their 69th Bundesliga win against VfB Stuttgart. No side has clocked up that many wins against another Bundesliga opponent previously.

73 Stuttgart took 73 points this season with 23 wins - both of these are club records in the Bundesliga.

78 –  The 78th Bundesliga encounter between Leverkusen and Frankfurt on Matchday 32 also produced goals (5-1). No other match-up in Bundesliga history has seen as many meetings without a single goalless draw between them.

79 – Kane and Guirassy both averaged a goal every 79 minutes this season - the best rate of all top scorers across Europe's top five leagues. Out of Europe's top six players for goals-per-minute (Kylian Mbappé: 80; Erling Haaland: 95; Alexander Isak: 108; Alexander Sørloth: 108), only the former has never played in the Bundesliga.

86 The 86 goals conceded by Darmstadt was a new unwanted club record.

89 89 goals scored by Leverkusen this season was a club record.

90 Leverkusen ended the season with 90 points, some 17 ahead of second place. Only once has a team gained more points, when Bayern won the treble under Jupp Heynckes in 2012/13 (91). The previous best by a team other than Bayern had stood at 81 by Dortmund in 2011/12.

94 The best attack in the Bundesliga this season belonged to Bayern (94 goals). It was the fifth year in a row they scored 90+ goals and worked out at 2.8 per game, which was the highest of any team in Europe's top five leagues. Leverkusen ranked second with 2.6 per game.
