Hugo Larsson joins Fulham from Eintracht Frankfurt
Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Hugo Larsson has completed a loan transfer to Fulham that will become permanent at the end of the season, the Eagles have confirmed.
Sweden international Larsson, who spent three years with Frankfurt, has put pen to paper on a long-term deal at his new outfit that will come into place should the conditions of Fulham's obligation to buy be met.
“Hugo Larsson has been one of our key first-team players over the past three years and has played a big part in our success," said Board member for sport Markus Krösche.
"We’d like to thank Hugo for his commitment in an Eintracht shirt and wish him all the best for his future career.”
Larsson joined Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 from Malmö in his homeland, and ended up making 119 appearances for the Deutsche Bank Park outfit, scoring 10 goals. At international level, the 22-year-old has 12 caps, but was left out of Sweden's squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
He is the 14th player to depart the club this summer as the squad undergoes an overhaul under returning head coach Hütter. So far this campaign, Frankfurt beat Tönis 11-0 in the first round of the DFB Cup, before drawing 3-3 with Union Berlin on the opening day of the Bundesliga. Eintracht are next in action on Sunday, when they welcome Augsburg.
