Heidenheim to face Copenhagen in UEFA Conference League knockout play-offs
Heidenheim will face Copenhagen in the knockout play-offs of the UEFA Conference League.
The Bundesliga club were a seeded team in Friday’s draw in Nyon, having finished 16th in the league phase of the Conference League following Thursday’s 1-1 draw at home to St. Gallen.
Heidenheim were paired with 15th-placed Real Betis as part of the draw and knew they could only face either Gent or Copenhagen, who finished 17th and 18th respectively.
As a seeded team, Heidenheim get to host the second leg at home. The ties are scheduled for 13 and 20 February 2025. The winner will advance to the round of 16 to face either Chelsea or Vitória Guimarães of Portugal, with the draw to determine those ties to be held on 21 February.
Round of 16 ties are scheduled for 6/13 March, the quarters on 10/17 April, the semis on 1/8 May and the final in Wroclaw on 28 May.
Kick-off times for the play-off ties will only be confirmed following the conclusion of the UEFA Europa League’s league phase at the end of January.
