Felipe Sánchez joins Mexican side Santos Laguna on loan from Schalke
Felipe Sánchez has left Schalke to join Mexican top-flight side Santos Laguna on loan for the 2026/27 season.
The deal also includes an obligation to buy, which will be triggered once the 22-year-old centre-back reaches a specified number of appearances.
"As a young player, Felipe needs plenty of playing time to continue his development," said Youri Mulder, Schalke's director of professional football.
Last season, the Argentine made 25 league appearances for the Bundesliga 2 champions, en route to gaining promotion, having featured just five times in his maiden season in Germany in 2025/25.
