Bundesliga Fantasy Manager 2026/27: Rules, player values and unlimited transfers
The 2026/27 Bundesliga Fantasy Manager season is now live, meaning you can make a headstart on setting up your team. But what rules do you need to be aware of? And how will player values and unlimited transfer windows impact your planning? We explain it all…
Setting up your team
You have a budget of 150 million to form your squad of 15 players consisting of:
- 2 goalkeepers
- 5 defenders
- 5 midfielders
- 3 forwards
At the start of the season, you receive an automatically generated squad that you can edit to your liking.
Player values – and therefore the value of your squad – can change throughout the season, also changing your budget.
Player positions are set at the start of the season and will not change.
Apart from budget and positions, the only other restriction is that you cannot have more than three players per club in your squad.
Getting ready for matchday
You have until kick-off of the first fixture of the respective matchday to select your formation, line-up and star players.
These cannot be changed once the matchday has begun, but your team will automatically field the best 11 players by points scored based on your selected formation thanks to Top 11 mode. For example, if your formation has only two forwards, then your two best scoring forwards will be in the team.
Star players
You can select three star players per matchday to receive 1.5x points:
- 1 star defender
- 1 star midfielder
- 1 star forward
If one of your selected star players does not make your Top 11, the star player bonus is not automatically transferred to another player.
Transfers and market values
You can make unlimited transfers to your squad prior to the first matchday after you create your team.
Once the season starts, you have a maximum of five transfers between matchdays.
When making transfers, you must:
- Remain within your available budget
- Have 15 players in your squad
- Not exceed three players from one club
- Have the correct number of players per position

Reversing transfers
You can reverse transfers until kick-off of the first match of a matchday.
If you reset your transfers, you may need to adjust your starting line-up and star players again.
Unlimited transfers
During the 2026/27 season there will be five unlimited transfer periods, removing the restriction of five transfers:
- International break: 21 September to 8 October (between Matchdays 4 and 5)
- International break: 9 November to 19 November (between Matchdays 9 and 10)
- Winter break: 21 December to 7 January (between Matchdays 14 and 15)
- International break: 22 March to 1 April (between Matchdays 27 and 28)
- Free weekend: 26 April to 6 May (between Matchdays 31 and 32)
Dynamic market values
Player values will change (up or down) throughout the season based on their performances.
Each player has a target value based on their recent performances and established performance level. If the target value is higher than their current market value, their value increases. If it is lower, their value decreases.
The following factors apply:
- The more a player’s performance differs from their expected level, the more significantly their market value may change
- Playing time also matters. Brief appearances generally result in smaller changes
- Players who do not feature in a match retain their current market value

Daily bonus
Collect your daily bonus every day to increase your available transfer budget.
The daily bonus runs in a seven-day streak. If you collect it on consecutive days, your daily reward increases.
Once you have collected all seven days in the streak, the streak starts again from the beginning. If you break your streak, it also resets.
Points
Your players earn points based on real Bundesliga events. You can find the full points breakdown in the Scoring tab.
Matchday points may be updated until midday CET on the day after the final match of the matchday, if official match data changes afterwards.

Postponed or abandoned matches
If a match is postponed or abandoned, the affected players receive their average points score. If an affected player was selected as a star player, that score is multiplied by 1.5.
If a match is postponed or abandoned on Matchday 1, there is no individual average points score yet. In this case, the affected players receive the average points score of all players in their position who played at least 70 minutes on that matchday.
