Eintracht Frankfurt and Hertha Berlin to play in the USA
Eintracht Frankfurt and Hertha Berlin will head to the USA during the winter break, with the Bundesliga clubs going head-to-head in Florida on 9 January.
Frankfurt and Hertha will start the Florida Cup – which also includes Brazilian sides Corinthians and Sao Paulo as well as Colombian outfit Atletico Nacional – at the Al Lang Stadium in Saint Petersburg, with the kick-off time still to be confirmed.
Die Adler will be training at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, and sporting director Fredi Bobic is delighted to be returning to the venue they also trained at last winter.
“Florida is an ideal place for our preparations,” he said. “We want to soak up the spirit and fitness that we acquired there again this year, and at the same time we’re really looking forward to the match against Hertha.
“This tour also forms part of our international activities in the USA, and will again prove that we are a great ambassador for the Bundesliga.”
