Cologne U19s set UEFA Youth League attendance record against Inter Milan
Cologne's U19s have broken the attendance record for a single UEFA Youth League match after a sell-out crowd of 50,000 fans attended their meeting with Inter Milan Primavera at the RhineEnergieStadion on Wednesday.
Tickets were snapped up over a week in advance of the round of 32 match, which Cologne's U19s - the reigning Bundesliga champions at that level - lost 3-1.
The previous record was set in April 2025, with 40,368 spectactors attending the game between Inter and Turkish outift Trabzonspor.
Cologne's RheinEnergieStadion has the seventh largest capacity among teams currently in the Bundesliga, and is the 12th largest in Germany overall. The Billy Goats are also one of the best supported clubs in the country by membership (155,000), behind only Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Bundesliga 2 outfit Schalke.
Cologne's senior team sit 10th in this season's Bundesliga standings, after gaining promotion from the second tier last season. Their U19s counterparts are top of their league group as they bid for a third German championship.
