Bayern Munich's Bryan Zaragoza joins Espanyol on loan
Bayern Munich winger Bryan Zaragoza is set for another spell away from the Allianz Arena after completing a loan move to Espanyol in his native Spain for 2026/27.
Zaragoza arrived from Granada in January 2024, six months ahead of the previously agreed transfer date, after bursting onto the scene in La Liga. However, the 24-year-old struggled to break into Bayern's star-studded attack, making just seven Bundesliga appearances before successive loan spells at Osasuna, Celta Vigo and Roma.
"Bryan has gained a wealth of experience at his various clubs over the last two years. The idea now is for him to continue to develop in the familiar surroundings of La Liga," said Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund.
Zaragoza's departure leaves Bayern with no shortage of attacking quality at head coach Vincent Kompany's disposal, with Michael Olise, Luis Díaz, Jamal Musiala, Ismael Saibari, Lennart Karl and Serge Gnabry among the options as the defending Bundesliga and DFB Cup champions prepare to challenge for silverware on all fronts once again in 2026/27.
