Nuri Şahin (head coach): "I just said to my team that I'm proud of them, but of course we just drew, and our mindset is that we want to win those matches. We played against a very tough opponent, and we suffered in moments, but it was clear that we would have to suffer in moments against Bayern. We did a good job so, although in the end you can talk about a deserved draw for both sides, it hurts."
Jamie Gittens (forward): "Honestly I think we did as much as we could. We could have put away some of our chances in the first half and second half, but we defended well the whole game. Bayern is always a tough game, so to stop their players is always really hard, but we tried."

Felix Nmecha (midfielder): "We gave everything to try and see out the win. They had quite a few chances at the end, which we defended most of them very well, but then at the end it went in. It's bitter, but we have to take this result."
Nico Schlotterbeck (defender): "The bottom line is that it was a fair draw. Bayern pressed well in the second-half. When you're leading for so long, you obviously want to win the game. The team gave it their all. I was extremely nervous before the game. I led BVB as captain at the age of 24, and that's an incredible feeling."

Vincent Kompany (head coach): "It was a real fight and a real battle between two big teams and you see that, when all the players are fit for Dortmund, they have a strong squad. But I think the second half showed the character that allows you to sometimes win maybe just one point, but it should give us the belief that we can always come back into games even if things don't go perfectly in the first half."
Thomas Müller (forward): "We're happy that we came back but we're not happy that we didn't win it. In the first half we lacked a little bit of our normal sharpness, we weren't clinical enough with the ball. Dortmund had no big chances, but they scored, it was a beautiful goal and a beautiful moment from Gittens."
Jamal Musiala (forward): "We know it's not easy to play here and we didn't have a great start in the first half, but in the second half we came out with more energy and we kept pushing and pushing for the goal. It wasn't enough for a win but to come away from here with one point is still positive and now we put out focus into the Leverkusen game."

Christoph Freund (Bayern sporting director): "It was very intense, a very interesting football game. It went back and forth. In the first half there weren't that many big chances, but Dortmund scored a great goal. In the second half we were clearly better, we really wanted to equalise and win the game. We deserved to equalise. It wasn't easy, but the team did a great job and the character was really top."
