Bayern welcome Germany contingent as Neuer, Müller, Musiala and Kimmich return
There was a big welcome back to Bayern Munich's Germany contingent of Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller, Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala at the Bundesliga side's Säbener Straße headquarters on Monday.
The quartet returned to the fold having competed for their country at the recently concluded UEFA Euro 2024. All set for medical tests in Bavaria, the four players were in high spirts ahead of getting back to work for the 2024/25 Bundesliga campaign, which Vincent Kompany's side start with a Matchday 1 fixture away to Wolfsburg on 24 August.
After Sunday's 1-1 friendly draw against FC Düren - in which Nestory Irankunda was on target for the Bavarian giants - Bayern are scheduled to travel to South Korea as part of their Audi Summer Tour 2024.
The record champions will touch down in Seoul on Wednesday before facing English Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur at the city's World Cup Stadium on Saturday 3 August.
New Bayern signing Hiroki Ito will not feature in that game after the Japan international sustained a metatarsal fracture in the 21st minute of his side's weekend friendly. The club announced that the 25-year-old would be sidelined for several weeks with the injury.
