Bayern Munich youngster Armindo Sieb joins Los Angeles FC

Bayern Munich youngster Armindo Sieb has joined the Bavarians’ partner club Los Angeles FC on a permanent deal.

Sieb, who spent the last two seasons on loan at Bundesliga club Mainz, has signed a long-term contract with the MLS side until the end of the 2028/29 season, with an option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.

The 23-year-old forward arrived at Bayern in 2020 following spells at RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim, but joined Bundesliga 2 outfit Greuther Fürth two years later after only one first-team appearance for the Bavarians.

After scoring 17 goals in 66 appearances for the Clover Leaves, he returned to Munich in 2024 before being loaned to Mainz, where he registered five goals and three assists in 62 outings across all competitions.

“Armindo Sieb has gained a lot of experience in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 in recent years,” said Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund. “We’re very pleased that he’s the second player from our Campus - after Timothy Tillman - to move to our partner club Los Angeles.

“We know he’s in very good hands there and will take the next step in his career.”
