Freiburg have their eyes on seventh place, which could still provide a route into European competition next season. Die Breisgauer are only a point behind Frankfurt, who go to St. Pauli tomorrow. As for Leverkusen, they're sixth, just three points adrift of VfB Stuttgart (fourth) and Hoffenheim (third).

Hjulmand also insisted that he and his team are not looking beyond Saturday's game, despite a big week coming up with their Champions League tie against Arsenal sandwiching a home game against Bayern. The Dane also stated that he is not concerned about key players Edmond Tapsoba, Aleix García and Alejandro Grimaldo being at risk of missing that domestic game, despite the fact they are all one yellow card away from a Bundesliga suspension.
