Full-time: Stuttgart 1-0 Freiburg

Stuttgart hold on for all three points thanks to that late stunner from Demirović against his former club. Freiburg were superb defensively, but Stuttgart were certainly the better side and had missed several good chances before the goal. The win sees Stuttgart move up to fourth.

Undav heads over

Mittelstädt sends in an inviting cross from the left that Undav meets once again, although once again, he can't get his header down, and the ball floats out for a goalkick.

Great work

Leweling picks up the ball on the right, rolls Grifo and has a go, but his effort deflects out for a corner.

Suzuki's effort is awkward

The Japanese international dips inside from the left and shoots. The effort takes a potentially awkward deflection on the way through, but Nübel is there to make the stop all the same.

Poor connection

The ball is popped up invitingly for Treu on the edge of the box, but his drive isn't struck cleanly and misses the target.

A great duel

Matanović and Chabot have been almost inseparable so far. Chabot is sticking to his man like glue, and it is making for a fantastic physical battle.

Threat at both ends

Manzambi puts in a dangerous cross that narrowly avoids Beste at one end before Führich does the same at the other.

Kick-off!

Half-time: Stuttgart 0-0 Freiburg

It may be level at the break, but it has certainly not been a disappointing game. Stuttgart dominated much of the proceedings with both Vagnoman, Undav and Nartey coming very close to opening the scoring. However, as the half was drawing to a close, Freiburg had a big chance of their own, as Scherhant fired narrowly wide from a great position. Still everything to play for.

37'

Undav fires wide

Nartey feeds Undav on the edge of the box. He turns and has a go, but slips in the process and drags his shot wide.
34'

Another good chance

Vagnoman whips in a delightful cross for Undav, and the striker does brilliantly to touch the cross down and shoot between the legs of Ginter, but Atubolu is there to make the save.
31'

Big chance for Undav

Atubolu plays a loose pass out from the back, and Nartey does superbly to intercept. The ball then falls to Undav in space inside the box, but he drags his shot wide with plenty of goal to hit. Stuttgart really should be in front.

A familiar sight

Atubolu has had a busy opening 30 minutes. Plenty of crosses to deal with.

Freiburg through in Europe

Freiburg's unbeaten run in this season's Europa League was ended by a last-gasp Olivier Giroud penalty in Lille on Thursday, but the Black Forest outfit still went directly through to the round of 16, bypassing the play-off round. They'll face the winner of one of the play-off ties between Brann vs. Bologna and Dinamo Zagreb vs. Genk.
