How our Kit Kings were chosen
We put all 18 Bundesliga 2 clubs' home jerseys into a knockout tournament. Each day we asked you to pick a winning design between two teams to narrow the field.
The shirt with the most votes from each match-up advanced to the next round to make our two finalists until Schalke triumphed on Friday, 1 August ahead of the campaign's kick-off in Gelsenkirchen that evening.
Note that the second round featured one threeway vote. With 18 clubs involved, this is the best way to keep things fair.
