Mohamed Alì Zoma earns first Italy call-up
Mohamed Alì Zoma has received his first call-up to the Italy senior squad after making a flying start to the new Bundesliga 2 season.
Zoma, 22, has scored five goals in as many league games for Miroslav Klose's side, earning a place in returning Italy head coach Roberto Mancini's 34-man contingent for their upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against Belgium, Türkiye and France.

Zoma has family roots in Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire, but has opted to represent his country of birth at senior international level.
The Merate-born forward joined Nuremberg from Italian third-tier club AlbinoLeffe in August 2025. After scoring 14 goals in Bundesliga 2 last term, he has continued to develop under Germany's record international goalscorer Klose, who spent five seasons playing in Serie A with Lazio.
Mancini also included Borussia Dortmund's Samuele Inácio, 18, in his first squad back in charge of the Azzurri. The BVB attacker won his first senior cap in the June friendly win over Luxembourg.
