Jahn Regensburg suffer relegation from Bundesliga 2 after Cologne draw
A 1-1 draw away to promotion chasing Cologne would have otherwise been seen as a good result for Jahn Regensburg. On Matchday 32 however, it was the result that ended their one season stay in Bundesliga 2, as they are now eight points behind the relegation play-off spot with two games left of the 2024/25 season.
Despite slightly improved form of late, with two wins and two draws from their last six games, Regensburg have now been relegated to the third division followed their share of the spoils against Cologne.
With 24 points from 32 games, Regensburg have spent the majority of the season in the bottom two and will now drop down to the third tier after just one season in Bundesliga 2.

Unbeaten in their last six games at home, Regensburg's form at the Jahnstadion was one positive from an otherwise torrid campaign that saw them collect 14 of their 20 losses by Matchday 32 away from home.
One of those away defeats ended 8-3 defeat at the hands of Nuremberg on Matchday 10, as they won just six games by the time of their relegation.
Jahn struggled at both ends of the pitch, with their goal against Cologne being just their 20th of the season, while Tim Lemperle's effort that they conceded was the 66th they had have shipped so far.
