Hertha celebrated their fifth win in five matches at the newly promoted side. The leaders found the going tough well into the second half, with Osnabrück's effective counter-pressing causing problems. It was Brekalo and Sessa who eventually set the visitors on the road to victory. A Gersbeck penalty save prevented a equaliser, before Gomez scored in bizarre fashion to briefly threaten a tense end. However, a perfect counter-attack and a clinical finish from Alfa-Ruprecht sealed the away win.

Alfa-Ruprecht is played in perfectly on the right side of the penalty area, but then fires the ball powerfully wide of the left post. Hertha still have some energy left in the tank.

Osnabrück press forward, and Alfa-Ruprecht makes sure of the away win on the break. With the ball at his feet, the substitute has a clear run on target from 25 yards out. His marker stumbles and the Hertha attacker slots in clinically from the right into the bottom left corner.

Jacobsen throws himself into a sliding tackle two yards out to prevent Thorsteinsson from slotting home. The Hertha player had been perfectly set up by Grønning in the middle and looked certain to score!
