Half-time: Arminia Bielefeld 1-1 Preußen Münster

It's all level after a frantic first-half. Grodowski gave Arminia an early lead from the spot before Batista Meier clinically capitalised on a mistake by the Bielefeld defence. There were further chances at both ends, even though play continued to be frequently interrupted by fouls.

The equaliser!

Suddenly it's 1-1! Wörl plays the ball back, where the centre-backs and Kersken can't agree on who should go for the ball. Batista Meier takes advantage of this confusion, snatches it and sends the Arminia goalkeeper the wrong way.

Münster also makes two changes

For Preußen, first-choice goalkeeper Schenk is out after his sending off and is replaced by Behrens. Additionally, Mees starts, which means Sertdemir moves to the bench.

More on that Bielefeld side

After the 0-2 defeat in Nuremberg, Michél Kniat has made two changes to the team. Lannert and Russo are starting today. Tim Handwerker and Sarenren Bazee have to settle for a place on the bench.

Alexander Ende on facing Bielefeld

"Each of us knows that this is not a match like any other. You will feel it on Sunday, you will hear it - it will be a special atmosphere."

Bielefeld's marksman

Joel Grodowski fired Preußen Münster to Bundesliga 2 in 2023/24 with 17 goals. However, in the first half of the 2024/25 season, he managed only one goal in 15 second-tier matches, so Grodowski transferred to Bielefeld during the winter break and achieved promotion with Arminia as well.

Good omen for DSC?

Arminia have not lost any of their last seven competitive home matches against Münster (three wins, four draws), with the Eagles' last away win at Bielefeld dating back almost 32 years (3-0 in the Oberliga in February 1994).

A look at previous encounters

Arminia have won the last four second division encounters (the last was a 3-0 away win in March 1980). Münster's only victory in the ten second division encounters was a 1-0 home win in September 1976, when Volker Graul scored the winning goal.
