PRM Münster SC Preußen Münster - S04 Schalke FC Schalke 04

Münster and Schalke were founding members of the Bundesliga, but for Preußen, 1963/64 remains their only top-flight season. Although they drew at home to the Royal Blues and won in Gelsenkirchen, Münster were still relegated.

Münster's last victory against Schalke fell in March 1990. S04 took the lead through a goal from Alexander Borodjuk, but Egon Flad's sending off enabled Preußen to turn the game around, with Ulrich Gäher and Guido Fleige on target.

Schalke have won the last four matches against Münster. The Royal Blues won 2-1 away and 1-0 at home last season.
