That was Ebnoutalib's third goal in a row - such a streak had previously only been achieved by one Elversberg player in Bundesliga 2, namely Fisnik Asllani in August 2024.

Felix Keidel, whose father Ralf once played 191 matches in the Bundesliga 2 for Ingolstadt, Ahlen, Oberhausen and Duisburg, had previously only been in the starting eleven on matchday three during the home victory against Kaiserslautern. On that occasion, he played as a right-back, showcasing his great flexibility as a player. For Ingolstadt, he has previously been deployed in seven (!) different positions in the third division.

"Playing in Braunschweig is a challenge. We'll face quite a considerable force there. They have very dangerous counterattacking players, are good at set pieces, and are playing in their own stadium with the fans behind them – so there are quite a few things coming our way."

The only Braunschweig victory was even more emphatic: Eintracht won 5-0 at home in March 2024, handing Elversberg their heaviest ever defeat in Bundesliga 2 (although they did also suffer a 5-0 loss at home to Düsseldorf).

Competitive matches between both clubs have only been taking place since 2023, with clear victories in all four encounters so far.
