Even though they haven't started as well as they would have liked under the new manager, you can sense a mood of optimism in Düsseldorf. Their matches have been close, so I expect an intense team that's willing to run."

Long wait for a home win

Dynamo are unbeaten in their last four away matches in Düsseldorf (two wins, two draws) and led 3-0 after just ten minutes in a 3-1 triumph in November 2017. Fortuna's last home win over Dresden was almost 15 years ago, with Ranisav Jovanović scoring a stoppage-time goal in a 2-1 success in November 2011.

Fond memories

The only Düsseldorf victory in the last eleven encounters between these sides is an unforgettable one. Rouwen Hennings' last-minute strike fired Fortuna to a 2-1 win in Dresden on 28 April 2018, securing Düsseldorf's to the Bundesliga in the process.

Vermeij reunion

Vincent Vermeij was among the scorers in Dynamo's 2-1 home win earlier this season. The Dutchman scored 12 goals in an impressive first season with Fortuna in 2023/24, but netted only once in 2024/25 before joining Dresden last summer.

Little fortune for Düsseldorf

Dresden have won three of their last four competitive matches against Düsseldorf and lost only one of the last eleven (six wins, four draws). Alexander Ende doesn't have the best recent record against Dynamo, having been beaten 6-0 at the Rudolf Harbig Stadion in his last match in charge of Preußen Münster.
