Into the stands
El Azzouzi shoots from long range, but it goes high into the stands.
88'
Seimen has it
Muslija gets a shot away, trying to curl it towards the top left corner, but Seimen is there and catches it safely.
87'
Still no clean sheet
That is the tenth goal conceded by Düsseldorf in their fourth competitive match of 2025/26, and the 37th goal conceded by Fortuna in Bundesliga 2 in the calendar year 2025, more than any other team.
86'
Bätzner reduces the deficit
His first goal for Paderborn, his second in Bundesliga 2. In February 2024, he scored a goal for Wiesbaden against Karlsruhe.
84'
Paderborn pull one back
There it is, and it is very much deserved. Paderborn come forward down the right, and suddenly the space opens up for Bätzner. He moves into the penalty area, then slots the ball home from a tight angle to make it 2-1.
83'
Over
Obermair wins the ball on the left-hand side, cuts inside and shoots from range, but the ball goes over the crossbar.
81'
Will they keep a clean sheet?
After conceding nine goals in their first three competitive matches, they could keep a clean sheet today - the switch to a back three has provided stability.
80'
Paderborn goalless?
This hasn't happened to Paderborn in their last 13 home matches. Paderborn last remained without a goal at home in November 2024 against Braunschweig (0-0).
78'
Kastenmeier saves
The best chance for the hosts so far. The ball falls to Marino, who fires in a low shot, but Kastenmeier gets a slight touch on the ball with his knee and deflects the ball around the right post.
74'
Strong from Egouli
It has been an impressive debut from the 2.04-metre giant, who is Düsseldorf's strongest player in duels (67 per cent won) and also has a really good pass completion rate (95 per cent).
73'
Too complicated
Paderborn can counter-attack. The ball comes quickly to Grimaldi, but he makes it too complicated in the penalty area, turns twice, looks for a midfielder and then his shot is blocked.
69'
Powerful shot
Fortuna are getting stronger and more dangerous. Itten turns in front of the penalty area and shoots directly. His shot is blocked, but the ball comes to Appelkamp, who curls it towards the right corner of the goal. Seimen is there again and manages to save it.
65'
Hoffmann saves
Düsseldorf combine well in tight spaces, and in the end, Muslija gets a shot away. Hoffmeier somehow gets his foot across at chest height and deflects the ball out for a corner.
63'
Good header
Itten gets his head on a corner from close range, but Seimen is able to catch the ball.
61'
Will it be Düsseldorf again?
Paderborn's last home defeat came on 13th April, when they lost to Düsseldorf (2-1) while playing with ten men. Back then, they managed a late consolation goal while a man down and almost equalised to make it 2-2.
60'
More Offensive
Paderborn's coach Kettemann brings on Bätzner and clearly wants to add more attacking impetus to the game.
59'
Aggressive East Westphalians
57'
Yellow card for Engelns
For a foul in midfield.

0:19
Obermair again
54'
Good chance
Paderborn are still throwing players forward. The ball comes to Obermair, who immediately shoots with his right foot, but his shot is blocked, and the attack fizzles out.
53'
Paderborn still looking forward
The home side have been the more active team since the break, playing well going forward. Fortuna are being pushed back.
50'
Too long
Heyer wants to send Itten into the penalty area, but the ball has too much on it.
46'
A smart substitution
F95 coach Thioune has taken off Alexandropoulos at half-time because he was close to being sent off. Heyer is now playing in the holding midfield position.

Fortuna's new dream duo
Appelkamp and Muslija are making a habit of setting each other up. Including the cup competition, that's twice the pair have started together and three goals they have scored by setting up each other!
44'

That was the Icelander's first assist in his 24th match in Bundesliga 2.
38'

The Paderborn player is late in the challenge against Rossmann and receives a yellow card.
37'
Only the second shot on goal from F95
That goal was Fortuna's second shot of the game and their first since Muslija's free-kick in the 13th minute.
36'
Itten again
That's new signing Cedric Itten's second goal for the club. He also gave Fortuna a 1-0 lead in Bielefeld.

31'
Yellow card for Alexandropoulos
The Fortuna player stops Bilbija during a counter-attack with a tactical foul on halfway.
30'
Narrowly cleared
Kastenmeier plays a long ball forward to Itten. He would have been through on goal again, but Castaneda does a better job of defending the long ball than Scheller, and somehow manages to poke the ball away.
24'
Paderborn battling on
Despite being a man down, the hosts lead 4-1 in shots on goal.

Fortuna with a back three
For the first time in five months, Daniel Thioune is deploying a back three in defence. The last time this happened was at the end of March during the 3-1 defeat at the Betzenberg.
17'
A win now a long way away
Statistically, Paderborn were the slight favourite before the match, but after the sending off, the chances of victory for the East Westphalians have significantly decreased.

After a long ball, Itten wants to sprint away, but Scheller holds him and pulls him to the ground. Referee Weisbach shows him a yellow card, but could it be more?
6'
A dynamic run
Rossmann drives down the left and crosses, but his cross is cleared for a corner.
4'
Blocked
There's the first dangerous attack. Bilbija shoots from the left, but it's blocked. Corner kick.
3'
Quiet start
Both teams are feeling each other out initially. Paderborn are playing it around at the back, with Fortuna sitting off and only engaging about 40 metres from the hosts' goal without pressing. Not much happening at the start.

キックオフ
Thioune makes wholesale changes
Düsseldorf's coach makes five changes compared to the most recent league match, and four changes from the DFB Cup victory in Schweinfurt. Siebert is no longer at the club, while Rasmussen, Zimmermann and Heyer drop to the bench. In their place, Lunddal, Egouli, Rossmann and Schmidt get their chance to shine. As in the DFB Cup, former Paderborn player Muslija is in the starting XI.
Two changes for Paderborn
Ralf Kettemann gave some second-string players a chance in the cup, but compared to the last league fixture in Münster there are only two changes today. Grimaldi was allowed to start in the cup against Viktoria Köln, scored twice and is now in the starting line-up in the league for the first time since April. Besides Grimaldi, Baur is also new in the offensive trio.

Paderborn coach Kettermann on Fortuna
"We're looking forward to the match. Our victory [against Holstein Kiel] in our first home game of the season is still fresh in our minds."
Fortuna boss Thioune on Paderborn
"They have a good structure without the ball and a lot of flexibility with the ball. New boss Ralf Kettemann has plenty of ideas that are bearing fruit – their results show that. They have self-confidence and a young, exciting team."
Siebert not involved
Düsseldorf's Germany Under-21 defender Jamil Siebert was not involved in Thursday's training session after being given permission to hold transfer talks with another club.
Muslija and SCP
Fortuna's new signing Florent Muslija's best season in terms of numbers to date was with Paderborn in 2023/24. He scored 10 goals that campaign and was involved in an impressive 32 goals in 49 Bundesliga 2 games overall for them.
Home form key against Düsseldorf
Paderborn have won four of their last six home matches against Fortuna, most recently in February 2024 with a spectacular 4-3 victory.
Double own goal
The first meeting between the two in the 2024/25 season ended 1-1 after two own goals - Valgeir Lunddal was the first to get his wires crossed, before Felix Götze gifted Paderborn the equaliser with an own goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
Are Paderborn Fortuna's bogey team?
Paderborn have taken ten points from their counterparts in their last five matches against them, despite losing the last encounter at home in April 2025.
